Oh, and I’ve learned that they’re actually now discontinuing production of 600 film as well. Some people have set up savepolaroid.com to try and help keep it alive.

First Polaroids

Nothing compares to holding a polaroid in your hand – instant hard copy, and each print one of a kind, but I thought I’d put some up on the site.

These are a few of my first shots with my new (well, old) SX-70 Land Camera from New York this past weekend (plus there’s a shot of Geneviève from this morning here in DC).  I used the technique described here to get around the fact that they don’t make the SX-70 specific film anymore (“Time Zero” or “Blend”), and you have to use 600 film instead.
