Obama Inauguration

I never would have moved to Washington, DC had Genevieve not gotten a job here.  But I’m pretty thankful for having had the chance to be here on January 20th for such a positive moment in US history. Our friends Keith and Jeffrey came from New York to visit for the occasion, and we went to the Washington Monument on The Mall to watch the whole affair. Well, “watch” — from a mile away. Jumbotron TVs and loudspeakers were placed all along The Mall from the Capitol Building all the way to the Lincoln Memorial, so you could see and here what was going on. But really, it was a great experience to be there with so many people, on such a great day.
